Salloways Jewellers in Lichfield has teamed up with Derbyshire Life to offer one reader the chance to win a £700 gift card to spend on luxury products from Launer

As celebrations for The Queen’s 90th birthday take place across the country, Salloways in Lichfield is taking a closer look at its Launer collection, which includes the famous Royal Warrant handbags and purses, gentlemen’s wallets and card cases.

Launer’s design team, led by managing director Gerald Bodmer, travels throughout Europe looking at design trends. Gerald learnt the leather goods trade at a company which held a Royal Warrant to the late Queen Mother, and later founded his own company before taking over Launer in the 1980s. Launer’s pattern-makers turn the designs into reality, creating a classic Launer item with style and elegance.

Launer was granted the Royal Warrant by Her Majesty the Queen in 1968 and has been supplying the Royal Household ever since. The warrant enables Launer to advertise the fact they supply the Royal Family, so lending prestige to their products. Warrants are currently granted for The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales. The Royal Warrant of Appointment has always been a symbol of excellence and quality much treasured by those to whom it is granted.

The aim is that every Launer piece should give pleasure and satisfaction for many years. If you wish to view the collection at Salloways or discuss ordering a bespoke piece of Launer, visit the showroom on Bore Street in Lichfield.
