After 40 years of serving traditional fish and chips in the heart of the Peak District, Bakewell Fish and Chip Shop is proud to announce the construction of a new 40-seater restaurant designed by local architect, K Bradbury's of Matlock.

After 40 years of serving traditional fish and chips in the heart of Bakewell, Bakewell Fish and Chip Shop is delighted to announce the construction of a new 40-seater restaurant designed by local architect, K Bradbury's of Matlock.

The new restaurant will incorporate unique features such as a fully glazed faade,withlocally sourced produce such as pies and desserts from award-winning Artisan bakers, Bloomers of Bakewell, used wherever possible. Otherdelights will include local beers brewed on the Chatsworth Estate from Peak Ales, ice-cream from Bradwells, handmade pork sausages, homemade sauces, fishcakes and desserts,fish specials such as lemon sole, plaice and halibut and light options including salad.

The restaurant will also be fully licensed, serving a selection of finewines, Champagne and beer.

It's sister restaurant, Whelans of Lytham, was established in 1937 and served a host of famous customers. Gordon Ramsay commented on the absolutely excellent fish and chips, whilst renowned chefRick Stein included the business in his Seafood Lovers' guide.
