Derbyshire Life Food & Drink Awards

Here’s your chance to support Derbyshire’s finest food and drink businesses

Following the outstanding success of the first-ever Derbyshire Life Food and Drink Awards, we are excited to announce the date for this year’s event – to be held on 30th November at Casa Hotel in Chesterfield.

Last year’s awards ceremony was packed with excitement as we recognised the very best people and places in the local hospitality industry. This year finalists, guests and sponsors will once again join Derbyshire Life for a lunchtime awards presentation at Casa, a luxury four-star hotel with a two AA rosette-awarded restaurant. ‘We are extremely proud to be hosting the Derbyshire Life Food and Drink Awards for the second year following a hugely successful inaugural event,’ said Stuart Downham, operations director of Casa Hotel. ‘It is a fantastic showcase bringing together the leading hospitality suppliers in the county and we are delighted to be a part of it.’

The awards are designed to champion, highlight and offer a showcase for the great and the good from the region’s food and drink industry, including local producers, suppliers, chefs, restaurants and pubs.

Only businesses nominated by you, our readers, will be considered for an award. We want to know if you’ve received a fantastic meal at your local pub or have been impressed by the produce and service at your local farm shop or restaurant.

We have a dedicated website – – so you can suggest who you think our judges should be considering. The website also includes details of what the judges will be looking for.

The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday 10th June. Businesses from each category will be selected by our independent panel of judges from the list of nominations made by you. Those shortlisted will be mystery shopped by our judges before a winner is selected. w

The awards would not work without your help and support. We look forward to receiving your nominations. Tweet us at @derbyshirelife #DLFoodAwards
