Gowercroft - Derbyshire joinery manufacturer with over 25 years experience
Superior Design, Flexible Solutions
Service and Flexibility. Gowercroft Joinery is an established joinery manufacturing company and architectural woodworker based in the heart of rural Derbyshire. We manufacture, supply and install purpose-made joinery - including doors, windows, conservatories, staircases and internal fittings - for commercial clients and domestic customers across the U.K.
Our craftsmen are problem-solvers and take time to produce high-quality pieces that exactly match your needs. We use the finest materials and processes, and complete all manufacture from our Derbyshire workshop. Our products are both attractive and functional. Over 90% of our business comes from referrals or repeat business and this demonstrates the value and service that we provide to our customers.
"Despite the bespoke nature of the projects, Gowercrofts craftsmen were able to marshal resources, technical competence and enthusiasm to ensure the projects were delivered on time and within budget.

Materials. We use hardwood as standard in our products. The service life of hardwood is typically twice that of softwood and the finish of the products is significantly better. If you are considering softwood units for environmental reasons, then we would urge you to consider using Accoya treated softwood, with all the benefits of hardwood. Visit www.gowercroft.com/accoya, for more information on this innovative timber solution.
Functionality. All of our opening products come with high-quality, multi-point locking systems as standard. These locking systems are recognised by the insurance industry as offering far greater security; you may receive a discount on your home insurance policy renewal after installation.
Gowercroft were involved from day one with specification and design, their experience gave rise to suggestions and input that were in line with what we were trying to achieve and saved us many man-hours of heartache and cost later.

Our traditional casement windows come with a secure night vent system as standard. This allows the units to be left open for ventilation without increasing susceptibility to burglary, or accidents with children or pets.
Paint System. Our units arrive on site ready for a quick and easy installation. There is no need to paint in situ; reducing disruption and increasing the overall quality of the finish.
Our triple-coat paint system produces a more uniform application, a more durable coating, and a superior finish quality. We use water-based paints and finishes with a number of benefits over traditional solvent-based paints. Were so confident in our paint system, that we offer a 5 year coating guarantee!
"The conservatory is marvellous and the envy of the neighbours, one of whom will be contacting you for one of their own.

Glazing. We use SGG Planitherm glass units as standard in our products. This family of glass units offers the lowest emissivity and the clearest finish in the industry. Our standard units also include Argon-filled double glazing cavity and warm-edge spacer bonded bars. These units will offer you significant energy savings over the existing units in your home.
Our drained and vented glazing system prevents water build-up in the rebate and gives the glazing units the best chance of a long service life. Without this system, glazing units are likely to fail more often, requiring replacement. Our glazing system also includes timber beads and high performance security glazing tape for enhanced appearance and performance.
We can also supply slim-line double glazed units, which can be permissible under local historic regulations to offer excellent appearance and improved energy efficiency.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Gowercroft, a company that goes the extra mile and add value to any project.

We offer a fully-bespoke service using any combination of materials, fittings, profiles and specifications. We can also match existing joinery to satisfy the requirements of Local Authorities for heritage or conservation projects. In particularly difficult regulatory situations, we can refurbish existing timber units and return them to required specification.
