Hopewells furnishings celebrating 125 of style, quality and service.

1885 -2010 An anniversary of 125 years in business

In the year general Gordon lost his life to Mahdi rebels in Khartoum and Goottlieb Daimler unveiled the worlds first motorcycle, Frank Hopewell began trading furniture within a short distance of Hopewells present store.

I am proud to celebrate this 125th anniversary of our founding, a milestone in the history of the company. The success of the business had been through the honest endeavours of many individuals over the years in providing a personal service, earning the valued loyalty of many customers. It is my hope that while many businesses have lost their individuality and personal touch, Hopewells may continue to offer standards of service and a thoughtful selection of furnishings to stand out from the everyday for future generations of customers
