Local estate agent Eadon, Lockwood and Riddle (ELR), is helping people to find, purchase and move into their new home ahead of the festive season

ELR, which has offices in Sheffield and the Peak District, is advising people who are looking to move before Christmas that they currently have a number of ‘chain-free’ properties that are ideal for those looking to complete a purchase swiftly in the next two months.

Chris Thomson, managing director at ELR, said: ‘We’ve had an extremely busy time in the last few months as the property market has started to pick up and although the winter months are traditionally a quieter time for property sales, there is still time to complete on a new home before Christmas.

‘The market has seen a real boost recently and in turn we have seen the number of people looking to make a move increase significantly. With this current flurry of activity in mind we are working on our ‘delivered before Christmas’ campaign to help as many people achieve the move they are looking for and be happily settled into their new home in time to get the presents under the tree and the turkey on the table.’

Established in 1840, ELR has 175 years of experience within the property industry and a reputation for selling the best homes in the South Yorkshire region - from terraced houses to larger country homes. More recently, the business has seen significant growth following the appointment of new directors, which has ultimately led to the expansion into North Derbyshire with the Bakewell office.
