Does Higger Tor have the finest views in the Peak District?

Higger Tor is one of the most popular places to visit in the Dark Peak, its close proximity to Hathersage and Sheffield means it not only provides an entry on the to-do list for those looking to explore the Peak District on a short break but also a local weekend beauty spot for those living in the Steel City.

You are rewarded with fine views of the Derwent and Hope Valleys from the top of Higger Tor and our previous article named it as one of the top ten photographic hotspots in the Eastern peak district, we also have a great walk for you to try which starts from the Longshaw Estate.

You can also find Stanage Edge to the north of here and the Iron Age fort of Carl Wark on Hathersage Moor just to the south.

We would love to see your photos from the area around Higger Tor, upload them to the Derbyshire Life reader photo gallery.
