The season finished on a definite high for Derbyshire County Cricket Club and its Player of the Year Awards proved a no less than sparkling occasion

Held at The 3aaa County Ground, the evening was hosted by Sky Sports News presenter Fraser Dainton.

AWARD WINNERS:

Cricket Derbyshire Academy in association with the University of Derby Player of the Year: Will Davis

Chris Warne Shield for the Academy Performance of the Year: Harvey Hosein – Derbyshire record of 11 catches vs Surrey on first-class debut

Second XI Player of the Year: Greg Cork

Most Improved Player: Ben Slater

Cricket Derbyshire Foundation Award: Tom Poynton

Eddie Barlow Inspirational Performance Award: Harvey Hosein – Derbyshire record of 11 catches vs Surrey on first-class debut

Royal London One-Day Cup Player of the Year: Wayne Madsen
