Authentic Furniture at Peak Shopping Village, Rowsley, will welcome Yorkshire Pudding guru Chris Blackburn and Bespoke Bartender Richard Wood for a day of Christmas cooking and cocktail-making tips on 7th December, from 1.30pm

Celebrity Yorkshire Pudding guru, Chris Blackburn, made famous by his debut in ITV’s ‘Food Glorious Food’ and appearances in ‘Country House Sunday’ and the ‘One Show’ will be showing off his culinary skills in Authentic Furniture’s fully-equipped showroom from 2pm-4pm. Chris will be revealing his top tips for making ‘The Perfect Yorkshire Pud’, as well as inspiring onlookers to make unusual Yorkshire Pudding combinations like Hoi Sin Duck and mini Yorkshire Pudding Mince pies with a crumble and popping candy topping.

The Bespoke Barman, Richard Wood, will also be adding some merriment to the occasion, showing off his impressive cocktail-making skills and demonstrating how to make a range of classic cocktails, as well as some winter warmers from 4pm-5pm.

Chris Blackburn said: ‘What we think is important is that we write recipes that anybody can achieve, so those coming along to Authentic Furniture on 7th December will not only taste some delicious Yorkshire Puddings, but also take away some helpful tips on how to achieve the perfect Yorkshire Pudding at home this Christmas.’

Those looking for gift ideas can browse Authentic Furniture’s Christmas hampers and accessories, as well as paintings from local artist Liz Welby. Guests will also be treated to some warming winter refreshments, including mulled wine, hot chocolate, and roast beef rolls.

A raffle will be held in aid of Make a Wish Foundation® UK, and one lucky ticket holder will win an luxury Authentic Furniture hamper worth £300.

Managing Director, Tim Lowry, explains: ‘Christmas is a great opportunity to get people together and we’re always looking for ways of using the fantastic space available at the Authentic Furniture showroom. It’s a great chance for people to come along and sit back in one of our comfy sofas, and soak up the homely, festive atmosphere.

‘Chris Blackburn has visited us here before, and was hugely entertaining as well as a great cook. I can vouch for his Hoi Sin Duck Yorkshire Puddings, they’re definitely not to be missed!

‘We just want people to come along and get into the festive spirit. Enjoy the food and cocktails on offer, and perhaps pick up a few gifts for loved ones this Christmas.’
