Our Philosophy

We believe quality speaks for itself…

Creating a room that fulfils your aspirations isn’t always easy. We aim to help guide you through this journey from start to finish.

Our fundamental service is our huge pattern resource with a huge selection of all the leading fabric, wallpaper and trimming manufacturers’ books.

We offer a free consultation service, whereby customers make an appointment in advance to ensure one of our design team is available to help navigate and assist you within our vast pattern library.

We work closely with our customers so we can fully appreciate your needs and expectations.

The Designers

Our designers have a wealth of knowledge having all worked and studied within the industry for a number of years.

Alex, the owner and director has built up Penrose Interiors repertoire after taking the reins back in 2006. With a fresh outlook and fantastic design eye, she began as a trained florist and it was this close colour work and meticulous attention to detail that sparked her love for beautiful interiors. After working for the company as both Interior Designer and Head Buyer for many years, it felt only natural for Alex to open the next chapter for Penrose.

Louise, our head designer, having worked in the industry for over 11 years has gained an extensive breadth of knowledge. Louise demonstrates an exceptional understanding of soft-furnishing treatments, her practical outlook and passion for design is appreciated and recognised by all our customers.

Sarah, our assistant designer graduated from Leeds College of Art in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design. Having worked with design studios in Manchester and Designers Guild, London came to work with us two years ago; Sarah exhibits a strong artistic background and an ability to utilise pattern and colour.

Approachable, down to earth and friendly, we pride ourselves on the ability to listen to our customers.

The Showroom

Located at our original workshop in Pilsley Village, our Showroom offers beautiful displays including wallpapers, fabrics, furniture, upholstery, pictures, mirrors, lighting and accessories all synchronised into both contemporary and classic room sets.

With regard to interiors accessories, yet again Alex’s opulent taste and forward-thinking style is apparent. Stunning lighting solutions, a striking range of mirrors and limited edition framed pictures, handmade designer cushions and luxury photo frames, glassware, crystal and other decorative items; you can’t help but be tempted to treat yourself and your home
