Founded in 1889 by Cecil Reddie, Abbotsholme School celebrated its 120th Anniversary with an official opening of the new library and a sumptuous dinner.

Founded in 1889 by Cecil Reddie, Abbotsholme School celebrated its 120th Anniversary with an official opening of the new library and a sumptuous dinner. Lady Moss was invited to cut the ribbon to open the library, then celebrations continued in the evening with a dinner attended by staff, parents, governors and friends of the school. Steve Fairclough, headmaster, said As one of our school mottoes says, we must honour the good in past days, but ever reach after the greater good that the future has in store.


He added, I am very proud to be part of Abbotsholme, past and present.
