More than 50 guests from key conference venues and suppliers in the county attended a glamorous event organised by Conference Derbyshire at Derbys Roundhouse. The event took its theme from the countys reputation as a scenic location for films and TV programmes. We are focusing on our two biggest strengths the high quality of service that we can offer and the unique appeal of Derby, the Peak District and Derbyshire as the perfect place for business as well as tourism, said David James, chief executive of Visit Peak District &"Derbyshire, the areas official tourist board. Plans for 2011 include further improvements to its re-vamped website, the establishment of an Ambassadors Scheme and a range of promotional partnerships. Each new Conference Derbyshire member was presented with their own Oscar. Further details are available from Rachel Guest on 0845 833 0970 ext 4850.
