CW Sellors staged its weekend Christmas showcase of the finest international jewellery and watch designs in the grounds of Chatsworth House at the end of November. The guest of honour on the Friday evening was the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire. In celebration of her 90th birthday, managing director Chris Sellors presented the Dowager Duchess with a bumble bee brooch with Blue John wings and an amber and Whitby jet body crafted at CW Sellors Ashbourne workshop. In addition to the award-winning collections made at Sellors Derbyshire workshops, there were this seasons sought after designs by Mikimoto, Picchiotti, Krieger, Breitling, Fope, Chimento and others.

A surprise visitor was comedy star Joan Rivers, who called in en route to New York after appearing on the Graham Norton show and at the Sheffield Doc/Fest for her documentary film debut. Ms Rivers concluded her visit with an attempt at the find a diamond challenge in aid of the NSPCC. There was a chance to test driving skills on the simulator accompanying TW Steels Renault F1 car or try on a Hans D Krieger 40 carat diamond necklet valued at 500,000, sit on Santas knee and be fanned with peacock feather fans by the male model Punkawallers. The entertainments raised a total of 547 for the Air Ambulance and 1,235 for the NSPCC.
